In early May — on 2–5 May 2019 — the milestone 10th Historical Medieval Battle World Championship «Battle of the Nations» took place. It was held in Serbia, in the small town of Smederevo, on the grounds of the not-so-small Smederevo Fortress.

The World Championship drew competitors from 40 countries! Fights and divisions ran on a fast, busy schedule — singles and melees, women’s and men’s. This year new mass divisions were introduced: «12 vs 12» and «30 vs 30». And the cherry on top was three hundred knights meeting in the «150 vs 150» division!

The Ukrainian National HMB Team included 14 Knyaz Club members — among them two women — and we took part in every mass division.
Our men represented Ukraine as «Ukraine-1» in the «5 vs 5» division and finished 5th in the world. And our women, on the national team, won BRONZE in the «5 vs 5 women’s» division!

And the headline awards for the Ukrainian National Team — with our fighters on the roster — are SILVER in «30 vs 30» and second place in the medal table among the 40 competing countries.

We congratulate everyone on these excellent results, and we are delighted to have taken part in the milestone «Battle of the Nations» World Championship.
