Last weekend, 9–10 March, the first-ever World Modern Sword Fighting Championship took place in Minsk — and «Knyaz Junior» athletes were there.
More than 400 competitors from 21 countries arrived to test their skills with sword and shield.
The Ukrainian national team finished second in the team standings.

Our club’s fighters claimed many medals:

– Andrii Veis, Mykyta Chaikin, Anton Tymoshenko, Mykyta Terekhov — 1st in 5 vs 5 (8–9 years) with team «Ukraine 2».
– Kyrylo Veis, Andrii Veis — 3rd in 5 vs 5 (10–11) with team «Ukraine E».

– Yaroslava Dehtiarenko — 3rd in Triathlon (14–15, girls).

Overall the team put up a fine, honourable fight, gaining huge experience and learning where our strong and weak points lie.
We sincerely thank everyone who cheered us on.
