On 2–3 February in Kyiv, the qualifying tournament «Ukrainian Cup in Modern Sword Fighting» for the national team took place. Young Knyaz Club members fought for the club’s honour and a chance to represent the country at the European MSF Championship in Minsk in March.

Day 2 — 5 vs 5 team battles. Results:
Age 6–7: 2nd — «Knyaz Aina Bera Triumph» alliance (Knyaz fighters: Tutov, Fedorenko)
Age 8–9: 1st — «Knyaz Idu na Vy» (Terekhov, Bevz, Tymoshenko, Dzhavelu, Chaikin, Veis, Tutov, Fedorenko)
Age 10–11: 3rd — «Knyaz Junior» (Bevz, Tymoshenko, Dzhavelu, Chaikin, Veis, Terekhov, P. Kochmar, K. Veis)
The line-up was nearly identical to the 8–9 team — the lads decided to try themselves in the older age group and snatched bronze among 5 teams.
Age 12–13: 2nd — «Knyaz Strila» (Datsenko, Kupina, Kochmar, K. Veis, Khvorostenko (Sharukhan))
Age 14–15: 2nd — «Knyaz» (Datsenko, Kupina, Shevliakov, Stupnytskyi, Khvorostenko (Sharukhan))
Age 16–17: 2nd — «Kharkiv Knyaz» (Shevliakov, Stupnytskyi, Kuznetsov, Soloshenko, Andriushchenko, Pylypenko)
